Trio jailed for armed revenge

A gang has been jailed for causing a public disturbance and illegally possessing weapons, Xuanwu district people's court ruled.

The gang leader, Zhang Rongqiu, received a seven-year sentence, with accessories Han Jian and Bian Yongxue jailed for four and two and a half years respectively.

Zhang, 46, and Han, 25, were both arrested in May 2009 and charged with causing a public disturbance and illegally possessing guns. Bian, 31, was arrested in June 2009 and charged with causing a public disturbance.
