Institute pushes Chinese language and culture in 'feverish' United States

Coordinated by the Confucius Institute Headquarters and the College Board, the sixth annual "Chinese Bridge for American Schools" took place this week.

In total, 413 principals and school directors were invited from 41 of the US states. It is the largest education exchange program China has with foreign countries and aims to enhance Sino-American language education exchanges and collaboration.

The opening ceremony for the "Chinese Bridge" tour, which was themed "Taking the Next Step", took place on June 23.
