A craving for powerful connections

Computers are like people, they rely on connections. I'm sure government and big business understand this, which is why I'm demanding faster network speeds, now!

Of course, I have a vested interest. My connection at home sometime slows to a crawl and watching a page come to life or refuse to open reminds me far too often that time is indeed passing me by.

When I read recently that Singapore will be getting a fiber optic infrastructure that will enable users to download the contents of a DVD in just a few seconds, I was not only impressed, I wanted it too.
