All aboard as city skaters go goofy-foot and ollie

Skateboarders showed off their tricks and skills all around Beijing as they celebrated the Sixth Go Skateboarding Day on Sunday.

Vans, a street fashion brand famous for its skateboarding footwear, hosted an event that attracted many skateboarders to demonstrate their skills in front of the Wangfujing Catholic Church and on the busy streets of Xidan and Jianguomen.

During the "Best Trick" contest hosted by Vans, skateboarders flew off a 1.5-meter-high ledge and attempted tricks like double kicks, big spins, double and backside flips.
