Disease sufferers to get help
China has more than 200,000 people suffering from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, which causes muscle weakness and atrophy throughout the body. Only a small proportion of these patients can receive quality treatment, said Yin Dakui, who heads the Chinese Medical Doctor Association.
