The man who died with a baton in his hand

He stood on stage, baton in hand. He could feel the energy of the marching music course through his body. In his 40 years in the services, he had sung this song - Unity Is Strength - thousands of times, but every occasion felt like the first.

As the song drew to a close, he suddenly keeled over. People rushed to his aid, but it was too late.

Wang Yanhui, musician and veteran in the art troupe of the People's Liberation Arm (PLA) Jinan Military Region, succumbed to sudden myocardial infarction while conducting a chorus during a ceremony held by the PLA's Air force Engineering University.
