BLOEMFONTEIN, South Africa - Cameroon's star striker Samuel Eto'o said on Monday the Group E clash against Denmark was a must-win game after the African side slipped to a 1-0 defeat against Japan.
A 39th-minute winner from man-of-the-match Keisuke Honda consigned the "Indomitable Lions" to defeat at the Free State stadium in Bloemfontein with Cameroon unable to conjure an equalizer despite late pressure.
Inter Milan's Eto'o, three times African footballer of the year, playing in a deep-lying role, failed to make a significant impact on the game but insisted that despite the setback the team had played well.
