Weihai to host Hobie 16 regatta

BEIJING - Sports enthusiasts in China will see two world-class events in Weihai, a well-known port and tourist city, this autumn, event organizers said Tuesday.

The Hobie 16 World Championships is slated to sail off on Aug 15 at the Weihai International Bathing Beach. It will be the first time the event will be held in Asia.

The Hobie event is one of the biggest catamaran sailing competitions in the world, organized by the International Hobie Class Association.
