Patients eager to get fees from disgraced dietician

Clinic refunds money as more oversight is urged

Patients who have paid advanced consultation fees to Wubentang, the clinic of the once-popular Chinese diet therapist Zhang Wuben, can now seek refunds via fax.

A notice explaining how to apply for refunds was posted on the door of the clinic four days after the archway of the clinic was demolished last Wednesday. Documentation from a bank confirming payment and the refund application form with signature are required for the clinic to verify the patients' bank accounts and refund the fees.
