Some still swear by Zhang's miracle food cures

SHANGHAI - Zhang Wuben, once a popular Chinese nutritionist, may have lost his professional reputation after he was caught with a fake medical degree, though some people still swear by his methods.

One of the health guru's followers is Sheng Chongming, a 65-year-old Shanghai resident, who insists Zhang's theory of eating for good health is reasonable and effective.

"Several months ago, I chanced upon a talk show on TV, in which Zhang discussed many health issues. Compared with other health professionals, whose allusive style is hard to follow, Zhang's recommendations are easy to learn and grasp," Sheng said.
