Laundry owner claims village took business to the cleaners

The owner of a Fengtai laundry plans to sue a village Party secretary and an urban administration chief for allegedly employing violent means to destroy her business.

Additional allegations include assault, destruction of property and illegally detaining of the laundry's staff for seven hours, said owner Gong Chaohong.

Gong 37, from Henan province, began her laundry business in 2005 with the signing of a contract to rent a 950-sq-m courtyard space with Zhangyi village committee for eight years.
