Ruling confirms Allawi coalition win by margin of two seats
BAGHDAD - Iraq's Supreme Court on Tuesday certified the final results of a March 7 parliamentary election, affirming the narrow victory of a cross-sectarian coalition led by former Prime Minister Iyad Allawi.
Iraqis had hoped the election would help stabilize their nation after years of sectarian war.
