As the season for annual employee medical checkups draws near, workers have been told their health examination reports will be firmly sealed this time around.
The change, which will see reports fastened with green adhesive strips to protect the privacy of employees, is the result of new legislation.
"Although the examinations are paid for by employers, starting this year, we will not offer them the chance to see their staff's personal health condition," said Liu Feng, section chief of the customer service department at the Beijing Physical Examination Center, the earliest such facility in the city.
