Rigoletto returns

What's new

Last June, the prestigious Teatro Regio di Parma from Italy thrilled Beijing's opera fans with its production of Verdi's Rigoletto. The 67-year-old baritone Leo Nucci's voice and vivid performance won prolonged ovation. At the audience's warm request, next month, Nucci and the opera company will return to National Center for the Performing Arts (NCPA) to perform four shows of the opera.

According to NCPA, Teatro Regio di Parma has reached an agreement to coproduce the opera with NCPA for it's annual Opera Festival. Last year's production was totally made in Italy while this June, the production will feature a Chinese symphony orchestra.
