Mainland singers struggle to keep afloat

As summer draws near, a new season of live concerts approaches.

Later this month, while Taiwan singers Rene Liu and Jay Chou will embark on their tours that include many Chinese cities, the mainland's diva Na Ying will hold her concert Those 20 Years at the Tianjin Sports Center before moving on to Taipei.

Veteran rock band Ziyue will also host two concerts at a formal concert hall in Beijing for the first time.
