Pakistani soldier dies in border clash

Indian troops fired across the border running through the disputed territory of Kashmir on Sunday, killing one Pakistani soldier, said the Pakistani military. Pakistan protested the "unprovoked" shooting, but India said its troops responded only after Pakistani soldiers attacked its positions with small arms and rocket-propelled grenades. There were no casualties on the Indian side.
