Four of Helsinki's biggest heavy metal acts are coming to Beijing and Shanghai to rock local metal-heads in China.

Headlined by established Finnish power metal band, Stratovarius (pictured), the metal festival will also have Finnish rock band, Negative, death metal band, Before the Dawn, and folk metal band Turisas.

"Heavy metal is considered a music genre which belongs to a small and stable group of audiences everywhere, but it's mainstream in Finland, especially Helsinki, which has lots of heavy metal themed bars, clubs and regular performances and music festivals. Even the church has heavy metal," says Han Ning, the chief editor of Painkiller magazine, the first Chinese heavy metal music magazine, which launched in 1999, and is the main organizer of the concert.
