The History of China Musical Drama - Modern History, compiled by renowned director Wen Shuo, is the first book in China to study the origin and development of musical drama from the May 4th Movement in 1919 to 1949.
Li Jinyang, who wrote the Broadway classic Flower Drum Song, pens the preface to this book.
