TV star, taxi company settle hit-and-run case

Television star Zhou Jie and the United Crescent Taxi Co reached a settlement in a hit-and-run case just minutes before a court hearing was scheduled to begin on Wednesday.

"Zhou and the United Crescent Taxi Co have withdrawn their cases from the court," said Feng Hui, a Chaoyang district court judge.

"They said they reached an agreement on compensation before the hearing, which was supposed be held at 9 am today."
