A map showing the distribution of unlicensed taxis in the eight districts of Beijing was finally released on Sunday after a series of inspections by government agencies detailed the illegal cab drivers' activities, Beijing Daily reported.
The map highlights 128 spots in the city where about 2,000 unlicensed taxis do business. It specifies not only the number and type of cars, but also on which roads and during which times they operate.
It lends support to a joint action to be undertaken by the municipal administration, police, traffic department, and the administration for industry and business.
