More elderly parents resort to courts

The number of instances in which elderly parents have used the courts to demand support from their children is increasing rapidly, according to Mirror Evening News.

The volume of such cases has increased annually by 10 percent since 2007, the report said.

The issue of how best to support elderly parents came to the fore after newspapers reported the death of an 80-year-old woman who was found dead alone in her home in Tongzhou district.
