Non-financial ODI increases

China's Overseas Direct Investment (ODI) from non-financial sectors rose to $11.4 billion in the first four months of this year, the Ministry of Commerce said on Monday. Investment in April was $3.88 billion yuan, a 35.7 percent increase from March.

Dangdang IPO plans on track

Online retailer Dangdang.com has hired Credit Suisse and Morgan Stanley for a US initial public offering, aiming to list by the end of the year, Reuters reported on Monday.

The offering size had not yet been fixed, but was likely to come in at less than $1 billion, the report said.

GCL-Poly setting up solar farms

Polysilicon producer GCL-Poly Energy Holdings Ltd may build solar farms with a total capacity of as much as 500 megawatts to help meet domestic demand. It is also looking at setting up solar farms in the US, Europe and the Middle East, Chief Financial Officer Sam Tong said.
