River swallows yet another truck

A truck plunged into the Liangma River in Chaoyang district while it was reversing, due to the lack of a guardrail, Mirror Evening News reported on Friday. No one was reported hurt.

The accident, which follows a series of fall-offs into the river, triggered safety concerns among residents.

Chen Lin, a resident, said she has always feared falling into the river while walking on a path and couldn't understand why this section has no guardrail.
