The Drunken Beauty seen by the world

As a special gift from the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG) to delegates from all over the world, the famous embroidery, The Drunken Beauty, has achieved great popularity around the globe.

The 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing realized many dreams and brought worldwide attention to China. In support of the Beijing Olympics, Shanghai Jingcui Artworks Development Co, Ltd contributed 220 pieces of art, worth 8.8 million yuan ($1.28 million) to the BOCOG.

With each piece consuming more than 500 hours of work, these embroideries boast a rich Chinese heritage with their elaborate and vivid characterization of The Drunken Beauty.

The pieces of art came with an authorized collection certificate and a bronze medal with a gold inscription that reads: "Presented by the 29th Olympic Games Committee". The embroidery is of both high artistic and collection value.

As a vehicle of the Chinese people's friendship and the Olympic spirit, the embroideries will reach every corner of the world through presentations to Olympic delegates.
