Expo organizers said more Expo passports would be made available to meet visitors' surging demand for the most popular Expo souvenir. Organizers said visitors' enthusiasm for Expo passports and collecting commemorative stamps from pavilions were way beyond expectations. A new batch will be arriving at Expo Garden soon, organizers said.

Scientists share insights
More than 50 scientists are sharing their insights with visitors at the Expo Garden to popularize scientific knowledge in various fields, including architecture, experimental physics, nuclear physics and genealogy. The event, Visiting Expo with Scientists, began on May 6 and is being held fortnightly. Visitors may submit applications to the events via the official website of Expo 2010 Shanghai. Successful applicants will be able to get questions answered face-to-face by scientists from China, the United States and various European countries.

Revenue bonanza
The Expo 2010 Shanghai organizers said revenue from sales of authorized Expo products has surpassed 14 billion yuan ($2.05 billion). From May 1 to May 7, the average revenue of products sold at Expo Garden was 5.08 million yuan per day, and the average revenue for catering services was 5.6 million yuan per day, said Expo organizers. More than 18,000 different authorized Expo products have been developed , with 11,000 of those so far entering the market. There are more than 5,500 authorized Expo stores throughout China.

Peru lays on the food
The Peru Pavilion prepares various dishes to please every visitor, said pavilion organizers. The best-selling menu item includes Peru fried beef and Pisco, the national alcohol drink of Peru. The five chefs working at the pavilion are all from Peru to guarantee authentic flavor. Featuring fusion food and cosmopolitan style, the Peru restaurant at the pavilion is quite popular. Peru Pavilion organizers said they hope the cuisine will trigger visitors' interests to explore other aspects of Peruvian culture.
