Collective bargaining tests seek pay fairness

By Wang Wen | China Daily | Updated: 2010-05-14 07:55

About 60 employers in Beijing have been selected to test a collective bargaining system to establish more reasonable standards for workers' wages.

The selected employers, which are being investigated now and will be tested through the end of the year, cover all 18 districts and counties in Beijing.

Positive results could mean an expansion of collective bargaining, which companies now submit to on a voluntary basis, throughout the capital.
