Consumer advocateswelcome HP laptop settlement

After nearly two months of intense negotiations, a consumer group has reached an agreement with Hewlett-Packard China in which the company promises to solve consumers' problems on a case-by-case basis, backed by guarantees
Services of three guarantees are required on after-sale services in China, including repair, replacement and compensation of faulty products. Previously, HP was criticized for not carrying out the regulations for its problematic laptops.
Angry customers spontaneously formed an activist group which was assisted by four volunteer lawyers from Beijing.
