Not a dog's life for lovable beagle

Snoopy, that lovable pet beagle of Charlie Brown, turns 60 this year. It's been more than 10 years since the last original Peanuts cartoon strip was published.

To commemorate the birthday, a new Chinese edition of selected strips of Peanuts was released in Beijing last month.

Jean Schulz, widow of Charles M. Schulz, Peanuts' creator, said at the launch she is pleased that 10 years after her husband's last original strip ran in newspapers, Snoopy, Charlie Brown and the rest of the Peanuts gang are still loved around the world, and especially in China.
