University engineer hacked to death

A university engineer was hacked to death, allegedly by his wife, at their home in Beijing on Thursday night, police said.

The man, 53, who is with the Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, was believed to have been fighting with his wife, 56, at their home in Xicheng district that night.

He was allegedly hacked when he started wielding a knife during the fight. He died before the emergency services arrived at about 10 pm.
