Man barred from flights appeals suit
A former Xiamen Airlines security guard who was banned from flights with the airline has appealed a court ruling in an effort to obtain compensation and a lifting of the restriction.
In July 2003 Fan Houjun, now 38, failed to pass a qualification test with the airline, which terminated his employment contract in 2004. Fan, who had worked for the airline since 1993, was then denied the right to board the company's planes on the grounds of security concerns.
