Chinese Super League champions Guo'an grabbed the east zone's eighth and final spot in the knockout round with a 2-0 win.
Beijing finished second behind South Korea's Seongnam in Group E with goals either side of halftime by Australian Joel Griffiths and Valdo. Guo'an become the first Chinese club to qualify for the last 16 since 2008 and will face South Korea's Suwon Bluewings on May 11.
