Police probe poisoning of 79 at Huairou bar

Huairou district police are investigating how an antihypertensive drug made its way into the food supply of a local bar, making 79 people ill, on Friday.
Seventy-three tourists suffered nausea, vomiting and other symptoms of food poisoning after eating lunch at the Huairou Mountain Bar, authorities said. Six bar employees were also affected.
The bar's owner had paid 1.36 million yuan in compensation and medical fees to the victims as of Monday, according to reports.
