Coyotes force Game 7 against Red Wings

DETROIT - The Phoenix Coyotes stormed to a 5-2 road victory over the Detroit Red Wings on Sunday, using a solid team performance to force a deciding Game Seven in their Western Conference first-round playoff series.

Five different players scored for the Coyotes and Ilya Bryzgalov made 31 saves to send the best-of-seven series back to Arizona for Tuesday's decider, where the home team can advance to the second round for a first time since moving to Phoenix.

"Anytime you can compete in a Game Seven, that's like the pinnacle right there," Phoenix coach Dave Tippett said.
