Round-the-world teen sailor set to reach home in two weeks

SYDNEY - Australian schoolgirl Jessica Watson is set to complete her round-the-world solo sail by early next month and become the youngest person ever to complete the epic journey, her spokesman said Monday.

After more than six months at sea, during which the 16-year-old has endured a brutal storm in the Atlantic and 10-meter-high (33-foot) waves, Watson is now back in Australian waters and heading east for Sydney.

"At the moment it's all going well," spokesman Andrew Fraser said, adding that Watson was covering about 110 nautical miles per day.
