Updated: 2010-04-24 06:51

Kevin Durant had 29 points and 19 rebounds as Oklahoma City won their home playoff debut by beating the defending champion Los Angeles Lakers 101-96 on Thursday.

Durant and Russell Westbrook scored 22 of the final 23 points for the Thunder, who cut the Lakers series lead to 2-1.

Durant may have finished with a flourish but that wasn't the case in the opening quarter. He started slowly, missing his first seven shots as the Thunder commited three early turnovers. But he didn't let it get to him.
