BEIJING - Nearly 20 senior officials from the United States wrapped up a historic week-long training program in China on Thursday.
The US-China Government Executive Global Leadership Course, which opened last Saturday at Beijing-based Tsinghua University's Center for US-China Relations, was held as Sino-US relations appear to be getting back on track after a series of issues created friction between the two nations.
"There are no sensitive topics we haven't talked about," said a US official who asked not to be identified. He said the US team had "open discussions" with Chinese trainers and top analysts on issues like Taiwan, Tibet and human rights.
