Truck owner to be charged over death

The owner of a truck will be charged by Changping district prosecutors after his truck indirectly caused the death of two people on the Sixth Ring Road, Beijing Youth Daily reported on Thursday. On March 9, the man surnamed Zhao hired a driver surnamed Zhou to drive a load of coal gangue.

The tire burst on the Sixth Ring Road and the load scattered. In trying to avoid the debris, several vehicles collided. A China Central Television reporter and a businessman who tried to help the injured were killed by a passing car.
