Exploitation of Chinese women

In recent years, the number of Chinese sales women in Egypt has increased dramatically. Going from door to door selling cloth and accessories, they enticed some thugs to attempt to rob or rape them. After a few criminal incidents that involved Chinese young women, complaints began to appear in national Egyptian newspapers and magazines. Constituents of towns and cities followed suit through petitions to their representatives in the Egyptian Parliament to seek for government intervention. That led the government to crack down on door-to-door Chinese sales ladies.

With the possibility of being deported or going to jail, those young ladies began to look for another means to make a living. That opened the door to crooks, smugglers, pimps and thugs to take advantage of them. They recruited them to work in massage parlors that were a cover for prostitution.
