Exhibition Special: Shenzhen stages China's premier gift exhibition
Shenzhen will host the 18th China International Gift, Handicraft, Watch & Houseware Fair from April 25 to 28 at the city's Convention and Exhibition Center.
The show has taken place every April since 1993, and is the highest-profile gift exhibition in the country. It is organized by Reed Huabo Exhibitions (Shenzhen) Co Ltd (Reed Huabo). The event provides a platform for local and international manufacturers and suppliers to build brand awareness and raise their profile in the booming Chinese market.
The exhibition takes place across eight halls covering 100,000 sq m.
More than 3,000 exhibitors are scheduled to attend displaying hundreds of thousands of new products. A further 120,000 buyers from within China and from abroad are expected.
"There is a real buzz around this year's show. Chinese items are hot this spring. In fact, since the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, authentic Chinese giftware has soared in popularity," says an executive surnamed Wei from Beijing Yuanlong Yato Culture Dissemination Co Ltd.
The exhibition will respond to consumer's desires to lead a greener and healthier life. Products on show will range from healthy Pu'er tea extract and recycled garments to eco-friendly electrical appliances such as solar-powered reading lamps.
"The fair is the most important show for the giftware industry. It is an excellent sourcing venue for buyers from around the world. And, thanks to the Shenzhen city government, all pre-registered visitors will enjoy the shuttle service and free metro tickets when they show their visitor badges at the exhibition's service counter," says Mike Jiang, managing director of Reed Huabo Exhibitions Co Ltd.
