China Daily | Updated: 2010-04-14 08:26

Patients in Beijing should purchase medicine from legitimate hospitals and pharmacies to avoid bogus goods, Chaoyang court advised recently.

Elderly people suffering from chromic diseases are the main targets of phony medicine producers and sellers, according to the findings of Chaoyang court after analyzing five related cases ruled in 2009.

Most medicine involved was for high blood pressure and cholesterol diseases, as well as diabetes.
