Beijing - China and the United States have decided to have more dialogues on issues affecting the Internet to deepen mutual understanding between the two countries, officials announced on Thursday.
This is the first time a public statement regarding the Internet issue between the two countries has been delivered by the two governments, after the Google affair strained their relations earlier this year.
"Related government departments and institutions of the two countries should continue to conduct exchanges and dialogues to strengthen mutual understanding," said Wang Chen, minister of the State Council Information Office, while meeting Robert D. Hormats, US undersecretary of state for Economic, Business, and Agricultural Affairs.
