Bias against Mexicans

I read with concern Lu Chang's article titled "Spanish grammar difficult to learn', translator says", in which Huang Liang says that Mexicans are passionate about everything but work and ignore even important work when they go on a holiday. The Chinese labor calendar has many more days off per year than the Mexican's, and I have witnessed how difficult it is to get anything done during Spring Festival, when most Chinese are off from work for a week or longer. But that does not lead me to assume that the Chinese are not hard workers. Perpetuating insidious stereotypes is not conducive to better understanding among peoples.
