Remediation project to include 12 migrant schools

As many as 12 schools for children from migrant families in Beijing will benefit from a campus remediation program, the education committee of Chaoyang district said.

The program with nearly 200 items involving 193 schools in Chaoyang district will apply to 13 departments in the district from April 2, and for the first time the education committee of Chaoyang district included 12 approved schools for migrant children in the scheme.

According to the education committee of Chaoyang district, most of the schools with relatively poor safety and sanitary conditions are located in suburban areas and the project focuses on the safety of campus buildings, the environment surrounding the schools for migrant children and the environment surrounding schools as educational supporting facilities in residential communities.
