Indian conductor
Indian Vijay Upadhyaya conducts the chorus of the China National Symphony Orchestra to present a program that includes Rachmaninov's Ave Maria, Handel's Hallelujah, Schubert's Serenade, and folk songs from around the world. Upadhyaya has a Master's degree in conducting from Austria . The versatile conductor majored in literature in college, and has also studied percussion and Indian folk dance for many years.
