BYD: Retail sales of F3DM hybrids
Chinese battery and auto manufacturer BYD recently announced that it will launch an improved version of its plug-in hybrid model F3DM in the southern city Shenzhen at the end of March and sell it to individual buyers for the first time.
The F3DM was mainly sold to government or company clients for 149,800 yuan, almost double the price of gasoline-powered models in the same class. Analysts predict that the company will lower the price of the new model for individual customers.
