Inconvenient truths

I'm writing to you about my bitter experience in Shanghai less than six weeks before the start of the 2010 Shanghai World Expo.

A couple of days ago, I decided to visit Shanghai New International Expo center on Longyang Road. I drove to the center in the morning because of bad weather. After reaching the venue, I began looking for a place to park my car. I followed some indications on the street and landed up at what should have been a piece of land ready to be built. But because of the rain, it looked more like a marsh than a car park. I paid 30 yuan to park my car.
