SHANGHAI - Both domestic and international airlines will increase the number of flights to Shanghai during the six months of Expo to meet increased demand from local and overseas visitors.
Expo Shanghai is one of the hottest events on the worldwide calendar this year and organizers are expecting more than 70 million tourists from China and around the globe to visit the city from May 1 to Oct 30.
Flights from Mexico to China, which were suspended in 2008 because of the H1N1 breakout, are set to resume at the end of this month with Shanghai as the initial destination.
