BEIJING - Chinese Football Association chief Wei Di has not given up on his plan to include national teams in the country's leagues despite strong criticism from clubs and the media.

"I understand the existing teams are worried about the potential impact on their rankings and we will think it over," Wei said.

"On the other hand, we should help the young players by giving them more chances. That's how we will build up the younger generation, which is essential for the national teams and the league," Wei said on Wednesday.
