Classical ballet

The National Ballet of China will stage Carmen and Etudes at Beida. Choreographed by Roland Petit, the latest version of Carmen preserves the original flavor of French writer Mrime's novel and captures the essence of Bizet's opera. The Royal Danish Ballet debuted the one-act ballet Etudes in 1948 and it has remained in its repertoire ever since. It narrates the life of ballet performers and is famed for its elegant dances and technical sophistication.
