Police stamp on foot massage protection gang

A former security assistant at a police station has been arrested and is facing charges for allegedly organizing protection rackets that bilked 10 million yuan from 80 percent of Chaoyang's foot massage shops.
Wang Yuliang allegedly posed as a senior member of Chaoyang district police bureau to collect protection money from the businesses, local newspapers are reporting.
Wang and two of his alleged conspirators will face charges including causing bodily harm and organizing prostitution. The three were arrested on Dec 22.
